Introducing Georgie
Georgina Smith can trace her interest in physiotherapy back to a piece of advice her grandmother gave her long before she knew it would become a career: listen to your body. That simple idea has stuck, and it now sits behind a client list that ranges from America's Cup sailors to injured military veterans, by way of professional football and rugby.
Georgie has provided sports massage therapy to INEOS Britannia, Sir Ben Ainslie's America's Cup sailing team, and worked with the Fiji National Rugby Team during their training camp at Twickenham, alongside a season at Portsmouth Football Club. She currently combines her role at The Swiss Touch with voluntary work for Supporting Wounded Veterans and Adaptive Grand Slam, helping injured and disabled service personnel rebuild confidence and independence, work that includes an annual ski-habilitation programme in Switzerland and hiking expeditions across the UK and Europe. She has also volunteered as a consultant physiotherapist at the London Marathon.
Much of Georgie's client base in London is exactly the demographic that gave her that grandmother's advice new relevance: busy professionals whose long hours, travel and poor sleep quietly compound into pain and stiffness that no amount of stretching alone will fix. She takes real satisfaction in helping people understand what's actually driving their symptoms, not just treating the site of the pain, and in building the kind of long-term resilience that keeps them performing at their best rather than back in her clinic every few months.

Beyond the clinic
When she's not in the clinic, Georgie is usually walking her dog, Ravioli, training for her next Hyrox event or marathon, or on a netball court. Winters are spent chasing as much time in Switzerland as possible, she describes being in the mountains skiing, followed by a cheese fondue, as her happy place.
In Georgie's words
Trust the process and be consistent. Recovery rarely happens overnight, but small, regular steps make a big difference.
I combine hands-on treatment with evidence-based rehabilitation to create a plan that's tailored to you and your goals, focusing on understanding why the problem developed, not just treating symptoms.
